“A perfect way to spend a day in Tuscany”

I recently took a one day tour to the Chianti wine region with Tours by Roberto. Wow. What a fantastic day. I had booked online and was not sure what to expect.  Roberto is not only very knowledgeable about the region's history, food and wine, but also extremely personable. It was great to visit a smaller winery,  an archaeological site  and have lunch in family owned restaurant. The tour was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Tours by Roberto - you won't be disappointed.  - May 2014

"Great Day!"

We spent an entire day with Roberto traveling the Tuscany area. He was very informative and very knowledgable. Everyone enjoyed their time with Roberto and ended the day feeling that his services were well worth the expense. I would recommend Roberto without hesitation. - July 2014

"One of the highlights"

I wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed our tour with Roberto.    I believe the three of us would all say it was one of the highlights of our trip.   We enjoyed Roberto’s passion about the area as well as his sense of humor.  I think the other enjoyable aspect of the tour was that we were away from crowds and the time was much more relaxing.    It was also great to experience lunch at the Tuscan farm and enjoy the local food and wine.

I know we also would love to return to the Tuscany area and spend more time.   Our time there was entirely too short!

"A Different Perspective"

My husband and I have just returned from a day tour with Roberto. Seeing the landscape, being enveloped in local history and enjoying a family cooked Italian meal with organic products and superb wines was a treat.  During a visit to a Benedictine monastery we were enlightened by the amazing and detailed frescoes, and the relationships between the painter and his contemporaries. Roberto  and his colleagues share a totally different perspective than one reads in a guidebook.
Made our trip special.  Liz and Bill, April2015

"Tuscany in Context"

My husband and I spent two days touring the Museo Etrusco, Montepulciano, and Montecchio, as well as the clay hills area of Tuscany with Tours by Roberto.  Roberto is a very funny man, but more importantly the tours give one a look into the rich history and philosophy of the Tuscan area. The thing that most touched me about Roberto was that he supplied a context of the artists and guilds that helped create a given piece of art in a particular moment in time. The places he takes you, the people you meet along the way and the "slow food" you are treated to make for a rich Tuscan experience.  -  Judy, March 2015

"Highlight of our Vacation"

My husband and I spent a day touring the Brunello wine region. It was truly the highlight of our 10-day vacation. We had lunch at a working farm/vineyard, home-cooked by the matriarch of the family, and it was the best meal I've ever had! I strongly recommend taking a day to learn about the food, wine and people of Italy with Tours by Roberto.  -  Jessica, Dec 2014

"God-given Talent!"

I visited Tuscany in October 2014. On a beautiful, warm Saturday morning, Roberto picked me up for a tour of ancient villages in the Val D'Orca. It was the highlight of my three week visit. Roberto was a wealth of historic and cultural knowledge.  He has a God given talent for interesting conversation and lots of laughs. Not to mention that he sure knows the right place to grab the most delicious meals! At the end of the day I was sad to see the end of a fantastic adventure but so happy for what I had experienced. I hope to be able to come to Italy again and let Roberto lead the way.- Rhona, Oct 2014
